RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) is a common technology for the automatic and non-contact identification and identification of objects with radio waves. An RFID system consists of a data carrier, an antenna and a reader. In the context of Industry 4.0, this technology is described as an important key. The concepts and methods relate to the development of a product, the simulation, the digital twin, and the real implementation of a product in highly automated production. Here, technologies for the identification of raw workpieces, tools, containers as well as techniques for the communication of the machines are needed. Implementing with RFID is much easier and more efficient than with other technologies.
